Lagos State has signed an agreement with the City of Dubai for the creation of Africa’s first smart city. The signing of the MOU was done at the Emirate Towers, and witnessed by the Chairman of Dubai Holdings, His Excellency, Ahmad Bin Byat, who is also the Emirati’s Deputy Prime Minister, and the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.
