England set for new captain tomorrow as Liverpool, Everton and Leicester stars prepare for starting roles

Danny Drinkwater is poised to make his international debut for England against Holland tomorrow, report the Daily Mail.

It has been a remarkable campaign for the 25-year old Leicester City midfielder, who has been one of their key players as they bid for an unlikely title win.

He received his first call up by Roy Hodgson earlier this month and after sitting out the recent win over Germany, is set to start at Wembley tomorrow.

With doubts about Jack Wilshere's fitness heading into Euro 2016, the former Manchester United youngster could feasibly make the role as a deep-lying playmaker his own.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is also set to start, the first time he will have played for the Three Lions since September 2014.

Anfield teammate James Milner is set to captain his country for the first time in place of Gary Cahill, in what will be his 58th cap.

Jamie Vardy is also understood to be given a starting berth after his fantastic goal against Germany, while the much maligned Everton defender John Stones is believed to be in the initial XI.
