Diamond Bank cashier in court for embezzling customers’ money

The Police on Tuesday arraigned a bank cashier,
Adeniyi Moses, 36, in a Mararaba Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, for allegedly embezzling N187,000 belonging to two customers.
Moses, who resides at One Man Village, Nasarawa State, is facing a two-count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating.
The prosecutor, Corporal Friday Adaji, said Moses, a cashier with Diamond Bank, conspired with one Adeniyi Jonathan, now at large, and embezzled the money belonging to the two customers.
Adaji said the offences contravened Sections 97, 322 and 312 of the Penal Code.
The accused pleaded not guilty.
The Presiding Judge, Albert Maga, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 and a surety in like sum.
Maga adjourned the matter till January 21 for further hearing.
